About United Publisher

United Publisher was founded with both academics and students in mind.

Each generation needs to be able to understand academic concepts in a particular field not only to complete tasks today but to teach others in the future. We seek to publish titles that are interesting, instructive, and immediately usable for teachers and students alike.

Our Values

United Publisher believes that values are more than words on a piece of paper. They are the cornerstone of our company, defining the work we do every day. They complement our mission to develop, produce, and provide quality products for teachers and students:

We use our abilities to create works that are accurate while remaining objective in our thinking. To that end, we are not advocates for a particular mode or style of thinking.

We foster an environment where ideas and comments are always welcome. These help contribute to the overall makeup of our staff.

The light of knowledge guides us to the truth, and the truth shall prevail. We seek to make the truth known in our works through accurate depictions and understandable language.

We refrain from any conduct that would be adverse to the best interest and purpose of the company, conducting ourselves in an ethical and professional manner.

How does United Publisher use AI?

United Publisher believes that the use of artificial intelligence (AI) presents unique benefits and challenges in the publishing field. Although we prefer to work with human creators exclusively, we understand that there is no definitive way to detect AI’s use in a publication.

We’ve listed some of the pros and cons of AI on the right for you to consider.

Pros

AI can automate tasks that once required significant time and resources such as proofreading and distribution.

AI can be relied on for consistency, accuracy, potential bias, and fact checking when working with manuscripts.

AI can create increased reader engagement through accessibility features such as text to speech and automatic translation into other languages.

AI can suggest new ideas and possible plot modifications by looking at the text as a whole.

AI enhances peer reviews, making journal publications better in less time.

Cons

Exclusive AI usage can create lower-quality manuscripts than those that are human written.

AI removes the human element — that which provides humor, warmth, and understanding — from the publishing of a manuscript.

AI relies on data to program its learning models – much of this has come from the Internet or individuals uploading data with permission.

AI is a language predictor, so it can only generate content based on specific patterns programmed into its databases.

AI makes grammatical/factual mistakes on occasion and won’t always catch them before publication.
